Food Shortage Solution
Solving the future food shortage problem:
Quote:
A growing number of optimistic soothsayers say yes. But only if we expand our definition of livestock to include such underutilized food sources as mealworms, grasshoppers, and Sago grubs. In January 2012, 37 international experts met at the U.N. Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) in Rome to discuss “the potential benefits of using insects for food and feed as part of a broader strategy to achieve global food security.”

Yumm. Chapulines. I'd eat those provided tequila and beer were provided to wash them down.

Here's a wallpaper of Romanesco Broccoli. It is notable as a great example of a fractal in nature. The spirals follow a Fibonacci sequence. The second picture captures some pigeons spaced according to the Fibonacci sequence. The interger sequence is (0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, ...) and is generated by starting with 0, 1 and then extending the sequence by adding the last last two. It shows up everywhere in nature. Anyway, thought of broccoli and thought of this.

OMG! there are actually pigeons here from the planet Zeon. Now I am worried. Not that much though, the Cajuns, that come up from the bayou, love to trap them here and eat them. I am not kidding.
