Americans Don't Blame "Political Tone" for Tucson Killings

We are a country of sheep. The media tells us how we are supposed to think
and we bah bah bah repeat it.

Good Heavens Noon, do you still watch CNN? Is Blitzer still nattering away in his room?

They were out playing in the freaking snow I saw footprints all over the yard when I put their breakfast out and went for the paper. Missy was smart, she ate breakfast and went back into her camper where it is warm.

We got about 2" but the plow has already been to clear the driveway.

I guess that was his problem. He said he would pass health care reform, but I guess no one believed him. Seems like they kinda got bent out of shape over a politician who actually does what he says he'll do.

Oh, what nonsense. For crying out loud. I've even heard from some Republican friends that they wish "they" would "tone it down".

I've been saying the same thing for quite awhile, and I'll tell you why.

I'm fairly well read on what happened here in Missouri during the Civil War.

It quickly evolved into guerrilla warfare where the presence of thousands of Union troops and the suspension of habeas corpus only made matters worse. Vast areas of the state were depopulated, people were murdered for no other reason than the way they looked, and it continued for years after the official close of hostilities.

Now does anyone REALLY want to see warfare of this nature conducted on a national level? If the power grid goes down for a week and people are left without the necessities of life what do you think will happen? We'll be eating our neighbors.

Does it really matter who's the captain of the debating team if you're left homeless, penniless, and with all of your family and friends murdered?

We don't really have to go there. It's just a matter of forgetting who's right or wrong and doing the right thing.

Just step back and mind your own business, don't cost much compared to the alternative.

And the first step is yours.

Chas

Chas, you've had a number of very good posts on here, but this may be my favorite. Hell, if you and I can hold the views we do and be civil with each other pretty much anyone can.
