Yeah, if he would have been president in 1941, when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, he would have invaded Brazil???

In 1941 we knew who the Japanese were, and where they lived. And we did attack the Germans too.

I still believe that the only reason we attacked Iraq was because we could. And by doing so, we placed ourselves in a position to put pressure on the entire Middle East, Iran and Pakistan in particular. And I also think that perhaps the Bush Administration was too ambitious in their plans.

But we'll never know, as the current administration has determined to leave before the job is completed. And they may be doing the correct thing, for all that I know.

I suppose time will tell. If nothing else, it will give the historians something to argue about.

In all fairness, IIRC, Germany declared war on the US the day after Pearl....

You are correct, apparently the Obama Administration has extended it's deadline for withdrawal.

I think the mission as launched has had to change as in hind site it was unrealistic. Obama's policy's have been very similar to GW's now that we are bogged down.

Yep, we're bogged down allright. Not only in Iraq, but in Germany, Japan, Korea, the Phillipines...and even Cuba.

Least we didn't get bogged down in Vietnam. Had enough sense to skin out after we got whooped during the Tet Offensive.

Too bad about Cambodia, that was some tough luck, huh?
