Civilians in Gaza are being killed in very high numbers, certainly disproportionate to the Hamas militants killed, which is Israel's stated objective.

You've not seen any evidence???? Just do a Google search and enlighten yourself. Using civilians as human shields has been part of Hamas' strategy for about as long as there has been Hamas.

This whole idea about a "proportionate response" is just another anti-Isreal talk track. This all didn't start on October 7th of this year. It has been going on for years. Hamas exists primarily for one purpose: killing Jews. They have been launching attacks on Israel for years, and they have said they are fully committed to continuing those efforts beyond October 7th.

Hamas, as a military and political force, must be destroyed. It's that simple, and Hamas has left Israel no alternative.

What Hamas is doing in Gaza is a textbook example of using the civilian Palestinian population as human shields in violation of humanitarian law as defined in the Geneva Convention.

Israel's plan all along seems to be total destruction of Gaza and they get to make the rules by controlling the relief efforts. Where does Israel expect the Gazan's to go since Egypt does not want them and have their border locked up except for letting UN relief trucks go into Gaza?
