FreeDumb Caucus

Tensions inside the conservative House Freedom Caucus have reached the point that some members are floating the idea of purging colleagues from the group.

At least two hardliners have discussed — and proposed to Freedom Caucus Chair Scott Perry (R-Pa.) — trying to boot members who no longer meet the group’s standards, according to three Republicans with knowledge of the talks who spoke on condition of anonymity. The lawmakers declined to name who’s behind the ouster calls, underscoring the sensitivity of the situation.

While the members suggesting a purge did not specify the people they want to remove, they are signaling that one target of any ejection push is Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.).

^^ I believe that the Dems are wasting a very good opportunity to criticize the Republicans, especially the jaded Freedumbers.

Case in point: The censure of Adam Schiff who effectively was simply doing his job investigating Trump's collusion with Russia which was later corroborated by a GOP Senate group.

Two impeachment proposals that we know of (MTG & BoBo) while Santos is free on bail after a 13 count Federal indictment is still a member of the House and voting.

I'm having a nice dish of schadenfreude right now for lunch, chilled.

I'm reminded of that old story that ends with, "Lady you knew I was a snake."

MTG has been booted out of Freedumb caucus, but she is not taking any of their calls. So in effect, her ouster is officially pending. Perhaps they should now censure her obstruction of a Congressional action.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) has not responded to calls by top members of the House Freedom Caucus aimed at notifying her that she has been ousted from the influential conservative group, two lawmakers familiar with the situation told Axios.

Zoom in: One HFC board member said that Freedom Caucus Chair Scott Perry (R-Pa.) unsuccessfully tried to reach out to the Georgia Republican both before and after a vote was held to remove her to discuss her colleagues’ grievances with her behavior.

Another senior source with knowledge confirmed that Greene was out of the group “pending a conversation with her.”

[Well, thank goodness they’re laser focused on their own butthurt over McCarthy’s speakership rather than working on issues voters care about. What everyone really wanted in last year’s elections was a circular firing squad/clownshow. — Ed]

Poor Traitor Marge. First her husband kicks her to the curb and now the Freedum Caucus wants rid of her. She's got to surface sooner or later. How else can she keep up her campaign to be Donny's VP pick?

It seems Kari is on the outs with the Moron and Marge is anxiously waiting for his call. When she shows up at MAL, there will be another catfight since Kari is still hanging out there with high hopes.

Kari Lake Basically Moved Into Mar-a-Lago to Be Trump’s VP and Now He’s Just Not That Into Her: Report

“Kari Lake is there all the time,” a person familiar with the matter told the outlet. “There’s a suite there that she practically lives in.” Yet, unfortunately for the VP hopeful, practically becoming roommates with Trump does not appear to be helping her chances. In fact, according to a new report, it’s quite the opposite.

Trump has apparently grown “less enthusiastic about Lake,” the Daily Beast revealed on Thursday. Why? According to people familiar with the former guy’s thinking, she’s a “spotlight hound” who is always striving for attention. (Sound like any ex-presidents you know??) And while her unflagging loyalty to Trump is obviously viewed as a positive, the 45th POTUS reportedly doesn’t like Lake “running around saying she should be VP.” Said another source close to Team Trump: “I think she is an effective surrogate, but I’m not sure she will be a VP pick. But who knows?”
