Wtf
Younger brother of one of the college kids that works for me took a .45 and blew his brains out tonight.
Good kids, good family - you just never f&%king know what's going on sometimes.
My guy is a mess - hope he finds a way to live with it.

Sorry to read this.
Many times people just need to talk to someone.
What seems like a big problem now, moments later might not appear to be so.
If someone around you seems excessively withdrawn, try to engage.
And those with access to guns are more effective at suicide.

Sad news to read.
Having experienced a side effect from a med in December, causing my first and hopefully only taste of depression. Going into PTSD then OCD before help arrived! Never really knew what it was all about up till then. With the limited and trouble getting answers and help I found one must push for answers. Gained an all new perspective on any who need assistance.
I also knew a fellow back in the 70's who accidentally, thinking his 1911 was empty with the mag out pulled the trigger. Left the planet soon there after.....

Sad news. May his family and his friends find peace.

I've had meds affect me poorly as well. Hard to diagnose..is it depression? Why the sudden rages? Access to doctors is limited. It took several months to figure out it was one of my meds.
But to the OP, In the 90's I had a friend, in his late 20's just married to a good friend of my wife. One day out of the blue he sealed the garage, got in his new Camaro and gassed himself. I'll never forget his wife standing on the drive crying while the medics cleaned up. It was a really tough time, all you can do is talk it out and try not to blame yourself. His wife is re-married but she still carries scars.

The question that always comes out out of this is "why?" And the answer is seldom close at hand. Does make one hope to respond to folks with more kindness - and hope it makes a difference.

and the doctors are of little to no help in my experience.
I'd not be pissing people off here today with my refusal to condemn Trump irrationally if I did not take ownership of my own condition. The doctors would have killed me. Thank God for determination, confidence and the internet.
Without any of these three I'd be another uncounted statistic of doctors lack of awareness and Big Pharma's lies and greed.
Sorry for the bad news.

A smart doctor who gives a damn is more precious than rubies.

You will never - NEVER - actually be able to look into a depressive mind. Maybe he was depressive for whatever reason. May his poor soul rest in peace.
