CNN Does FOX Better than FOX

CNN town hall shows the network still doesn't know how to handle Donald Trump

CNN doesn't know how to handle Trump? Bullshit...CNN has turned itself into a MAGA outlet like FOX hasnt been since the Dominion verdict...and done it for the ratings, and the ad money that goes with the ratings. CNN CEO Chris Licht is a whore.

CNN is trying to rebrand itself as a down-the-middle, facts-only network. CNBC 5/11/22
Bullshit. This is what happens when the Chief's middle of the road bullshit takes hold. There is no middle anymore. The internet killed it. But you can either go on spewing inane crap that there are the "extremes" and there is also a vast undecided America in the middle or... I got some beachfront property in Arizona to show you.

I've gotta say I applaud CNN for airing this.

1) Put the unvarnished facts out there and let the audience decide for themselves. The town hall format was predicated on no questions were off the table and no "pre-conditions". Good for both Trump and CNN for setting it up that way.

2) For once, a moderator didn't try to make him/herself the center of attention or the "story" from the town hall.

3) Whether you like Trump or not, Ms. Collins's approach allowed Trump to be Trump (if that was part of CNN's plan) while trying to keep Trump on topic and on-time. I didn't see any "gotcha" questions.

4) Some politicians won't go on particular networks because they deem those outlets as "unfriendly". I hope to see more politicians of both parties avail themselves of all appropriate media outlets.

5) I see the folks on the left are having a fit that CNN - which I guess they regard as "their" network - has the gaul to put Trump on. Some pundits suggest that Trump "won" (not sure how you "win" a town hall) because the audience saw Trump "friendlies" in the audience cheering for him. Kinda sad, actually, that the left thinks so little of people, or maybe they're afraid of the vulnerability of their own positions, that seeing an audience cheer for Trump is something to be concerned about.

Leave it to you to call Trump's firehose of lies "unvarnished facts."

We do not have cable so this non-affiliated with either team guy may check it out on YouTube later.

Edit: I do foresee a lot of SMDH and sayin "what an idiot" out loud often.

Isn't that what Fox is supposed to do, "we report, you decide".

Somehow not even in my wildest dreams do I equate Trump with any fact, let alone unvarnished kind.

Trump lost the 2020 election. Even Barr admitted it. After serving up the never ending big lie, there really was no reason to listen to the deranged shitgibbon spewing all the other lies. We've all heard them, over 30,000 times before.

PS...Judge Kaplan didn’t find Trump liable. A unanimous jury of Trump's fellow New Yorker peers found him liable. Trump sniveling once again that it was unfair for him to go to trial where he is so hated. Perhaps he should have sexually assaulted his victim in Cheyenne or Charleston, where he's more popular.

You missed the point.

Trump is a fact. That he's a candidate is a fact. That he has an opinion on (insert your subject of choice here), and whatever that opinion is, is a fact. The way he discusses his opinions become facts, to the extent that they reveal his opinions to the viewers and his understanding (or lack thereof) of the big picture issues associated with those facts. These facts collectively allow the viewer to make their own judgments about whether Trump is / is not an appropriate candidate.

Wrong again. 61% of Republicans say that Biden won due to voter fraud.

As far as his lie about the election, tRump's been bringing it up every chance he gotten since election day and there have been plenty of Republican politicians going along with it. It seems like ol' whell is just in another shit stirring mood.
