The Republicans are coming?
I though Bush banished them for good when he took over?
What we need are some old fashion GOPers and be ride of these nuts.
As the title of ex NJ Govenor Whitman's book reads, It's My Party Too.
The Gop is no longer a political party they are a hate machine.

If the GOP were made up of people like Whitman, Alan Simpson, and Brent Scowcroft, I could get behind them 100%. But I wouldn't trust the current absolutist Wingnut crowd to manage a McDonalds franchise.

I guess I'm talking about the new, rationale Scowcroft.

Scowcroft 1.1 or Scowcroft 2.0?

2.0, the one who had the unmitigated gall to speak out against Dubya and the NeoCon's plan for Iraq. The Chickenhawks had a hissy fit.

no I don't think that is the case

just as with the whack job Christians the tea bags always existed they were never cultivated as the GOP could stand on it's own. In the aftermath of Ray-gun the GOP lost mainstream support and had to save themselves through the wackos.

Yeah, that version's pretty well debugged.
