Just think how better off we would have been in 2009 if the recession had started with the Clinton budget surplus rather than Bush's overdrawn credit card ....

So Pete what if Obama just lets the fiscal cliff happen and the budget gets cut and your debt clock is turned backward...will you give him credit for that?

I really found this graph to be interesting:

So which party are the reckless spenders again?

As an interesting aside, it was our Federal Liberal party that had to step in with the tough medicine to fix our screwed economy and federal spending after years of conservative rule.
Graphs are screwed. Especially the first one.. Obama '10 to '13?????? WTF happened to '09???? So they KNOW what the 2013 budget is GONNA be? What happened to the 780Bill Stimulus? I suppose they're counting 2013 because all the TAXATION for ObamaCare kicks in with NONE of the benefits.

I can tell you right how easy it is to frack with those numbers.. The $40Bill per year theft from Soc Sec that''s adding directly to the deficit?? It's not there because it's NOT SPENDING -- It's a "tax break". But it CAUSES spending. THis is Alice in Wonderland stuff untangling the lies and math masturbation...

Get the RIGHT numbers and we'll chat..

Take it up with the CBO. Those are their numbers.

But you are good with all the other years, it seems?

My debt clock LOL! Tell me, what has Obama done for me. Heck what's any Dem done for me?

And a Clinton surplus - ROTFLMAO!! Smoke and mirrors. According to the Treasury department there was never a year debt went down. Think about it. And even that included the SS surplus.

No --- I'm not. ANYONE can take CBO numbers and make hash. And the CBO didn't prepare those graphs..

Tarp was passed under Bush. It is appropriate to attribute that spending to him.

Nearly half of the stimulus package was tax cuts. Are you suggesting that tax cuts should be counted in the spending?

A significant amount of the spending in the Obama administration was composed of i) continued spending on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan; ii) interest on the debt compiled by his predecessor; and iii) unemployment benefits to the millions who had been thrown out of work by the Bush recession. Context matters.

Regards,

D-Ray

This all leads back to guess where? Whitehouse.gov.. And if you look at the CBO numbers in Table 1.1 --- you'll see how deceptive those graphs are..

I'm not wasting unraveling this propaganda -- but it's propaganda..

The problem with the CBO is, they are required by law to use the figures Congress tells them to.
