It is a crude appeal from Trump...Why do you white people keep supporting these uppity Negros?

He knows the protests are turning off a fraction of the fans who are largely white and he wants to increase that fraction. He is diving for their baser instincts.

Exactly right. Now ask yourself why he wants to do that. What is the strategic goal?
