Guitar Heroes

It's hard for me to limit the list to even ten. Not particularly in order, but:

Stevie Ray Vaughn
B.B. King
Leo Kottke
Gary Clark Jr. (at least potentially)
Jon McLaughlin (particularly when joined with Al Di Meola and Paco De Lucia.)
Neil Young (sentimental reasons)
Roy Rogers
Derek Trucks
Sonny Landreth
Jeff Beck

Honorable Mention to John Mayer. His guitar skills are absolutely amazing. His selection of material is unfortunate.

Regards,

D-Ray

Funny how we had only one crossover but the ten limit probably is to blame. I purposely didn't read yours until after I posted. BB is certainly a goodie.

My favorites are:

Peter Green
Duane Allman
Eric Clapton
Albert Lee
Hendrix

SRV
Leo Kottke
Al Di Meola
Jeff Beck
Keith Richards

In the young category:
Derek Trucks
John Mayer
Joe Bonnamassa

There are so many that are really good technically. I like what Keith Richards said about himself and Ronnie: Neither I nor Ronnie are all that good of guitar players, but playing together we are. Come to think of it, I need to put Keith on the list for all those great riffs.

PS:
I forgot about Rory Gallagher.

Add Mark Knopfler for bringing clarity with great chops back to rock.
