Oh, that's funny, I shook hands with Nixon at 9 yo. It was at a party at the AF base in Marietta, GA when the C5 was rolled out. My uncle was a retired Air Force General. We got invited, so to speak.
I remember my dad wishing ,out loud, When Nixon stuck his head out of the giant planes uplifted nose, and gave his signature wave, " I wish the nose of that plane would slam shut and kill that MF'ER". This is not an exact translation.
