Really, I have no problem with small businessmen, such as yourself, Chas. I respect anyone who gets up and does his bit to keep things moving every day. It's just the way politicians will lionize a specific group, just to get votes that bugs me. Even back in the day when it was the Dems telling us that the "workin' man" was the center of the universe and I was a union man. I didn't like it then and I don't like it now. It's pandering is what it is, and nothing more. Our society needs everyone who makes a positive contribution, no matter how great or small.

And I pray you are joking about suicide.

Please don't.

Dave

You know, Chas, that if you have fewer than five employees you are not subject to the workers comp law unless you choose to be.

I know, but it protects me as well as them, not to mention the property owner. It's expected.

And if they saw off all of their fingers they'll get something out of the deal.

I agree, the only times the politicians REALLY care about us is election time.

And I'm not joking about contemplating suicide, I've actually been doing it for some time.

About 40 years.
