Has Krugman Jumped

Off the deep end!

Here's a snippet from his latest liberal rant from the NYT:

Quote:
“Underlying inflation is low and, given the depressed state of the economy, likely to go even lower in the years ahead. And that’s not a good thing. Falling inflation, and even worse, possible deflation, will make recovery from this depression much harder.”
Inflation is low and doesn't exist and yet just about everything is more expensive than it was a year ago. Further, groceries here have jumped considerably. The new official metric for inflation is not very good at measuring what it purports to measure. Of course, everyone knows that, but most use those massaged misguided numbers. Thus, here we have Krugman asserting that more borrowed stimulus is needed and that inflation is nothing to worry about.

Indeed, the inflation index has hurt seniors very badly the last few years.

I have devoted threads here to this.

It has a duckbill, webbed feet, fur like a mammal, produces milk but lays eggs and lives under the water.

Some say God never makes mistakes. But, I think he either has a bizarre sense of humor, or has a line on the best acid in the universe.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the Platypus.

I don't see as there is any way to address the amount of debt that we're accumulating without inflation. Unless they just up and devaluate the currency.

And don't think for one second that it's not a possibility.

Come on, we've just paid for saving the whole rotten banking system, and they've convinced us that we were smart by doing so.

Maybe didn't have much of a choice, but smart???
