Ayn Rand fans,
Here is your free market at work. I don't want to hear any more illogical BS that monopolies don't happen under laissez-faire.
Since the act we now have 6 networks that serve 50 states. No wonder our national dialogue is so f*cked up. We are arguing over one size fits all national policies. There is no such thing, at least not for citizens. But there sure as heck is for multistate and multinational corporations and unless you are in the front office of one of those you are taking it in the ass whether you know it or not.
Quote:
The Act was claimed to foster competition. Instead, it continued the historic industry consolidation reducing the number of major media companies from around 50 in 1983 to 10 in 1996[24] and 6 in 2005.[25] An FCC study found that the Act had led to a drastic decline in the number of radio station owners, even as the actual number of commercial stations in the United States had increased.[26]

Wake up Tea Party. Wake up blue collar Republican voters. The 1% are not your friends. It is their job to take your money.
You guys know that Al Gore is an asshole. So why do you support a neocon Republican party that is in favor of the same New World Order agenda as Al Gore?
It befuddles the hell out of me as to why you guys won't burn flags. Washington won't get the message until you guys are brave enough to show them you are angry. But if you get placated every time some billionaire waves flags in your faces on his TV channels then you guys are useless as tits on a bull.
Propoganda is powerful stuff.
