Yes...it's a big problem. The thing is that the feds won't even try. JD Hayworth gets it right when he says that it's crazy that there are twice as many cops in N.Y. City than there are border patrol agents on the USA/Mexico border. That statement alone will probably distroy J. McCain...as it should. This is more than a political issue. Living here I can agree that its out of hand. Even when the joke of a Governer we had at the time(Open Borders Janet) sent the guard to the border she sent them unarmed. The Mexican army came across the border and confronted them sending them scurrying back calling for assistance(all they could do) Mexico made its point and the influx continues to this day. The Mexican govt prints brochures on how to illegally enter the US. What a f*cking joke.

The desert around here is 3 deep in dead bodies from drug running and imigres who couldn't pay the ransom once they got snatched from their coyote. People show up dead each and every single day and the Feds do nothing. Utah is now drafting their own version of the AZ law and I put money on it that Colo. is next.

I once worked as a consultant/writer for a project that would have constructed an electronic fence along the border. We were bidding on a Homeland Security RFQ, never heard from the company afterward so I guess they did not win.

There are currently cameras on high towers at intervals but they work fitfully and really do not help very much.

I recall accessing the DHS website at the time, near as I could tell the only thing they had accomplished since their inception was to design a new shoulder patch for all the customs agents.
