Simple solution is to resign from both and set tariffs as we see fit.

Before anyone tells me that will start a trade war be advised we are already in one and losing badly. Time to change the rules.

I'm pro-free-trade generally. My big beef with China is their unfair exchange rate, it amounts to dumping every product they make. Adjust it, let's see who's more efficient.

NAFTA being revisited. I said never, but it reminds me of some exposed demagogery...

Well Harper was from the western Reform party before they merged with the Conservative party and I always thought the Reformers were a bunch of Republican wannabees. The mistake the Conservatives made was letting them in.

I was against NAFTA from the very beginning. It's hard to compete with people that will work all day long for a bowl of rice.

TD get you acronyms straight, NAFTA applies only to NorAm and has nowt to do with China or India, that is the province of GATT and WTO. I will grant that wages in Mexico are lower than here but if it is any consolation I took a cut in wages when I came down here.

I thought I explained that a while back.

Pete

A sensible post.

Pete, please explain to the other righties here that "free trade" is for the most part a tenet of THEIR party.
