Actually the English are smarter than we are thanks to Clement Atlee.
Plus their high schools (or secondary moderns or whatever they are called) do not get shot up like ours do.

Perhaps a stuffy class system and bad food are well worth national health care and a safer society.

I've got an idea. Let's assume that the portion of black people in Ferguson who have broken laws are the only ones that matter, and form our reaction based on how much we don't like them.
