What is interesting is that some of you actually believe that redistribution is not part of the Democratic strategy to maintain their base.

"There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."

Mebbe it's re-redistribution. Putting at least some of it back from whence it was taken.

You belong in a different century, I suggest you try the Gilded Age of the 1890s.

Of course it is so....
Thus they that have benefited, and must some how pay back. Nothing in in a vacuum free after all.
Does one actually think or believe they are they are the sole creator of the success so far envisioned? Born with a silver spoon anyone or a leg up...

Yep. Redistribution is completely wrong. The idea is to distribute right the first time.

Wealth distribution in US rivals a modern day Gilded Age: In 2013 wealth inequality at record levels. 72 percent of wealth in US held by 5 percent of the population.

No, I know that's what it is and, I thank God for that. Now, we just need to get YOU to understand that the Republican strategy is to appeal to self-absorbed, tight fisted swine, charlatan "prosperity gospel" preachers and hateful bigots to maintain their base.

Each and every government, regardless of ideology, redistributes wealth. That's what's taxation and public spending does. The only difference between the parties is who gets the public funds, preferring that it goes to their constituency. The GOP prefers that it goes to rich people, big industry, religious groups and the Military-Industrial Complex. The Democrats prefer it going to poor and less-advantaged, the environment, infrastructure and education.
