2014 becomes the warmest year GLOBALLY.
The lowest temperature in the last 20 months in South West Germany was some 32°. A snowflake in my region is more rare than a 1958 Harman Kardon Stereo Festival Receiver... in mint condition...  Weather forecast for this weekend: Sunny, windy and temperatures some 65°. There will be a weather phenomenon which is not as dramatic as the lake effect. The wind stream coming from South Africa will again transport huge quantities of red/grey Sahara dust to Germany. You can see that very nice for example on dark coloured cars...like mine...
