All things considered...Satanism anyone ?

I find it very interesting, from Alleister Crowley to Anton LaVey.

...and the new stuff.

The latest buzz..

There is no God other than your own self, so they say.

Could Satan be the default god of atheists ?

No. Perhaps you should look up the definition of atheism. I would say that most atheists don't accept the existence of the supernatural, and by definition do not accept the existence of supernatural beings - good or evil - that orchestrate and care about human activity.

Also not to be conflated with agnosticism.

I'm fully aware of the definition of 'atheism'.

I understand the agnostic POV, and even the more esoteric Gnostic POV.

All replies so far are based on the (imho) erroneous assumption that 'God' is a psychological construct of the human mind, rather than reality.

Reality is a subjective phenomena.

Touche.

There is a material or physical aspect to it, however. The creation, or physical world is, for the most part, undeniable. Solipsists may claim otherwise.

Yes, to the extent that we interpret the world individually and, as pattern-seeking primates, put together our individual interpretations differently.

But physical laws of the natural world are not subjective. You may have a different subjective interpretation from mine of what will happen to you if jump off a cliff but physics operates the same for both of us.

How is it an assumption, let alone erroneous, that something does not exist if there is no evidence that it does?

The only other way to proceed is assume that everything exists (even things you are unaware of) and that everything is true (including contradictions) until proven not to be. How do you think that would work?
