According to the letter I got from my employer on Friday, that is already how PPACA works.

Are they really that ignorant?

thanks

it is the 800 lb gorilla I am trying to ignore.'

the sequester furloughs were bad but on a schedule.
A straight 5 days would hurt my paycheck.

It would be worth it if Obama could use it against them....if they do go over the cliff Obama has the leverage since he would be pulling the Republicans out of the quicksand. If he could end the sequester I would give up 4 or 5 days.
My wife really gets pissed off about this more than me but she does the bill paying.

If you look at this closely this is an effort by the GOP to put those Dem Senators in red leaning states on the spot for 2014...ie get them on record for supporting PPCA and then using that as a weapon against them in the election.

Nothing wrong with that...but using a government shutdown and phucking up the economy as their tool is obscene.

Maybe they will be dumb enough to nominate Ted Cruz in 2016

The Filibuster To Nowhere today in the Senate. Ted Cruz pretends to filibuster the TP House bill that defunds the PPACA. Strange shit goin' on DC these days. I guess it's breadsticks and circus's without the breadsticks. All to burnish Ted Cruz's image in the '16 race for the White House.

I'll give Cruz one thing, he just might prove that he can actually polish a turd, given enough worn out and coke tainted currency.

I wonder what coalition will rally around Ted Cruz in 2016?

But can he pick it up by the clean end?

Senator Tim Kaine was on the local radio this morning explaining why this tactic that Cruz is employing makes absolutely no sense. It will accomplish absolutely nothing but to waste everybody's time. Filibustering the general budget or impeding debt ceiling talks will not stop PPACA. It can't. Obamacare is funded through appropriations. In fact, as someone noted here, the bill he is filibustering is the one submitted by his fellow TP Republicans---a bill he supported until he decided to filibuster it.

All Cruz is doing is making an ass of himself. The guy is such a fool, he has no idea how the system works....and is determined to act accordingly.
