Thanks Dave

Last week there was a Dual at the same SA with another Ortofon cart...but I just didn't feel the need to pay the $100 they wanted...it was a belt driven Dual but all plastic with no feet (or really short feet up under the plinth).

The stylus is OMP-30 don't know what the cart model is. Thanks. This table is in really nice shape...everything works. It was buried among the BPC.
It doesn't matter. OMB 5 through 40 all used the same body, the difference was in the stylus with the 5 being a basic spherical and up from there. The 30 is second from the top of the line. I think its a Nude Elliptical and the 40 is a Shibata or Gyger S or some high falootin' deal like that..

35mm. Pretty cool score if you want to set-up a vintage home theater.

Bulbs for it are probably $200.

BTW, those styli are still readily available. So, if you want a fresh one or an upgrade or whatever, they're out there. But the 30 and 40 aren't going to be cheap..........

Not all Dual 'tables were good. I had a 627Q that I hated. It was a piece of shit. Speed control problems. I had it back to the shop three times for a new speed control card before I finally traded it in for my Luxman PD264, which I had for 30 years.

I would imagine that would be an expensive hobby...wonder how much old 35mm movies go for?

I have come to the conclusion that buying stuff for big money is a waste.
If you just look everyday you come across something dirt cheap everyone else is slobbering over on AK lol...like my Mitsubishi DA-A15DC for $15.
