Thank you.

My father would agree with most of the things I'm posting here, he was a left conservative. My mother agrees with anything I am posting here for sure although she is rather conservative.

Again, I'm asking not about beliefs, political or otherwise. I'm asking would they be proud of the way you have expressed yourself.

Passion is one thing, boorishness is another.

I have said some things here that I wish I had phrased a little better.

I have let them stand because that is what I said at the time. To go back and delete it seems somehow dishonest.

That leaves me with trying to not put to print something that I may regret later.

Sometimes the heat of the moment does that, permits you to write something you would otherwise not. Such are the politics of hate we seem to embrace here in this country these days.

I understand your point. You asked about the last few months. I have been trying to draw the line between harshly addressing prevarication and lies, and calling names. (When one is trolling, the term troll is descriptive rather than a pejorative.) As I have said before, there is no shame in passionately stating a passionately held belief.

My mother is convinced that I am doing a pretty good job here in this rough forum, despite my poor English, trying to keep respcetful, at least most of the time.

Both of mine and the wife's parents are gone now. Did their part in fighting fascists, the greatest generation applied to them. Both of my parents were Navy veterans, Father served and fought in three wars. Wife's father served in the Pacific as a Marine. Her mother in a armament factory.

Some where Republican supporters, not the new nationalistic right Republican party of today.

So what would they think of my post today? Not able to ask them now, but do know. They would be able to read them and not be ashamed!

Thanks again for the replies.

I value this forum for the different opinions offered on most every topic brought up. I don't enjoy some of the disrespect shown, but that's just me.

I started this thread in the hopes that we would sometimes "count to ten" before we hit the post button.

I welcome any other replies.

I edit for clarity, and /or to revise intemperate commentary I don't support after further thought.
