I wouldn't even know where to begin to ask questions about that setup.

Made a change in the bedroom system, sold the CR-1000 and put in the CR-2040.

Condo maniacs

Hell, I'm almost ready to move the main system into my office/2nd bedroom. I've got a moron living next to me. I guess Sunday afternoon is the day for bathroom remodeling. I can only assume that he's decided to remove the tiled bath on the other side of the common wall. Maybe the Vandy 3s with an Adcom 555(300w per channel) on each biwired speaker,(1200w total) near the wall is now appropriate. Where is that 30 hz. tone disc? The Vandies will do 28 hz.

Goddammit, I really dislike bringing the cops into this type of squabble but it might be necessary.

I'm only joking about the retaliation but it is tempting.

Ugh. Attack of the picture bug.

That's my main system.

In view are the Pioneer SA-950. It's not enthralling but it beat out my old Marantz 2226 and Kenwood KA5700 for clarity and balance. I want to replace it with a Yaqin MC 10L.

Pioneer TX-950 tuner. Nothing special, it just matches the amp. I want to replace it with a tuner that picks up FM and HD broadcasts.

Playstation 2 with remote control. Not bad for a FREE CDP. I have been burning a lot of CDs using ALAC and FLAC files. It's been the most cost effective way to bring lossless to my main system and I'm happy with the PS2's reproduction.

Gemini PT2000 w/ Ortofon LM20. I'm drifting away from the use of records but for the price I paid I might as well have stolen that table. It just needs new feet.

Also in view, Grado SR60i headphones. Cheap iPod dock. Old Ideas by Leonard Cohen (CD) and the self titled LP by Bon Iver, one of the best albums of 2011.

Acoustic Research AR7's. Got from seller refoamed and recapped. Sound pretty great with a subwoofer in support however the highs sound artificial at times. Great imaging. These speakers have me in a conundrum. Do I buy the Parts Express Tritrix kit next? Or do I get a pair of Cambridge Soundworks Model Six's and mod the hell out of them? Either way, a new subwoofer is in order sooner rather than later.

Computer desk sans computer. S5 Electronics K12G 8wpc tube kit. I assembled it using only what came in the kit, so no enclosure. Dayton DTA 100a T-amp. Kind of harsh on speakers but it drives headphones GREAT. Aurasound NS3 extended range drivers in 4.5 liter sealed enclosures made out of white oak. Finished in natural stain. The tweeters on top came from a pair of Klipsch Promedia speakers. Crossed over with a single 1uf cap. They're more efficient then the Aura's so I had to EQ out the harshness. This was merely a dress rehearsal for adding a pair of domes. I just wanted to see if I could make a crossover. It worked.

Thanks for looking. Cheers guys!
