Heh, I'm glad he's staying out of California.

Ironic that the guy died the same way he killed.
Not really ironic at all. To be expected. He obviously didn't learn a damn thing from killing a man, because his behavior continued unchanged.

Correctly identifying the guy as a dirtbag and being glad he's gone is not angry rhetoric, it's an honest and justified commentary on the bright side of the story.
Well, that's a way we differ, WG. It doesn't seem right to me to be glad of the violent death of another person,* however it may have been necessary and even desirable in the circumstances.

* dirtbag considered a hateful term

Dirtbag is a hateful term only in the sense that it accurately describes a hateful man, who died from his own hate.

Edited for accuracy.

The term dirtbag doesn't address hate at all except in so far as it reflects the hate-filled state of mind of a person who chooses to apply it to another person.

The most common dictionary definition is a filthy or contemptible person.
Dictionary.com says it's slang, but not that those who use it are hateful.
Merriam-Webster doesn't even say it's slang, and makes no mention of those who use it as hateful. Looks like it's a garden variety word to me.

So, unless this guy is not accurately described as contemptible, I don't see how it's hateful. He punched a guy so hard he killed him, over a traffic dispute. He then continued the same behavior, apparently unrepentent for his deeds. Is that not contemptible?
The guy was a dirtbag. A piece of shit. A low life scum bag murdering rageaholic asshole. And now he's none of those things, and that's good.

Mine's a Garmin Nuvi 50.

It apparently has a decent database for Ontario, but not so much for Nova Scotia.
