Precisely. Spun one way, this story sounds overly PC. Then again, the Yankees are the home team of one of the most diverse cities on the planet with an African-American population of over 40%. They made a business decision.

Fine, some people get a lump in their throat from her rendition of that patriotic stuff. Not me. And she will be giving a lot of people heartburn now, very understandably. Can't see that keeping her a feature at public events is necessary, in light of that. It would kind of say to folks "Your heartburn doesn't matter."
