You have to break them in over time which can be a painful process but I agree. The saddle on the Shinola appears to be very similar to a Brooks.

My main ride, rebuilt and new Aksium wheels added a year ago.

1994 Specialized Epic. I only ride it occasionally now, but when it was new and for about ten years after I rode about 200 to 250 miles a week.

If it doesn't have a lugged frame, it isn't a bike.

Here's my oldtimer, a 1985 Fuji Espree.

Well at least we can still agree on bike saddles.

I rode a Selle San Marco Rolls for many years before I made the switch to the Brooks. It was a pretty good saddle also. I still have one new in the box sitting on a shelf that I bought at least 15 years ago.

There was a Jr if you are thinking about the 18th Century Whitney.

No, no. We both agree that you've been trolling this board ever since you got here.

I was speaking of the story I heard as a schoolboy, about Eli Sr. and his knock-'em dead demo. That was 1801 (1891 was an unfortunate typo, am off to fix....)

Apparently, Eli Sr was quite the BS artist.
