Quote:
Trump’s GOP supporters in Congress know perfectly well that all of what Cohen said is true — apart, perhaps, from his not having wanted a job at the White House. But they, too, are outraged by the possibility of losing power. Nearly every allegation about Trump that Cohen made during the hearing has been reported, in some form, before. And mostly, Americans have shown they’re pretty immune to accusations about the president — at least enough of them to allow him to continue to govern.

But, worrisome for the GOP: What if this is the last straw? What if the American people somehow wake up and, instead of seeing this whole thing as tribal politics, they start to truly examine the president’s behavior? What then? It is exactly what Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-Mass.) so forcefully said to Cohen and the GOP chorus of Trump apologists on the committee: “[The House GOP members] aren't afraid you’re going to lie. I think they’re afraid you’re going to tell the truth.”
When our resident idiot Trumpkin sycophants start turning on Donny, then we’ll know it’s over for the GOP. Defending Power over truth, over democracy, over all, will eventually not be tolerated, even by someone as incredibly, willfully ignorant as Whell.

Sadly this is not an homage to the Producers...Trump and his GOP are playing this straight. Unbelievable.

Trump on brink of GOP rebellion over emergency declaration

https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/...cy-declaration

What Donny’s trying to do here is flat out unconstitutional, no question. Even someone as stupid as Whell surely knows this. 100% of the Repubes in Congress know it too. Yet only four of them in the senate are willing to speak up!? F’ing cowards! What the hell will it take for them to finally turn on this wannabe autocrat, do their jobs, and remove him?

A significant percentage of his base will need to turn on him. Perversely, if he folds on this unconstitutional action, he'll lose some of his base. They're interested in him owning the libs and fighting, not adhering to laws and norms.

Good article in the New Yorker by Jane Mayer about the incestuous relationship between Fox and this White House.

Yes, isn't it amusing how our resident MAGAMoron rattles on about WaPo and CNN, with this going on right under his ignorant nose? Sad!

Sad indeed. "There are three kinds of men. The one that learns by reading. The few who learn by observation. The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence for themselves." Will Rogers

Rand Paul: "For myself and my children I believe that the benefits of vaccines greatly outweighing the risks, but I still don’t favor giving up on liberty for a false sense of security.”

Vaccines only give a false sense security???

The so-called "original intent" conservative Magamorons mystify me, given the FFs opposition to an authoritarian unrestrained executive.
