One would have to be mentally ill to deny that the earth is getting warmer.
Well, good news: The US mainland has not hit the highs of the 1930's, so we must be good, right?

This is about weather, dood. We have hot and cold years. And remember this: A warmer planet is a wetter planet, and a CO2 level of around 2400 ppm would be ideal. Imagine growing grapes in Siberia and Oranges in the Sahara!

How to Talk to a Climate Skeptic (AKA Moron): Responses to the most common skeptical arguments on global warming

https://grist.org/series/skeptics/

The ignorant deniers insist on posting fake websites, most of them sponsored by Big Energy. These sites are full of nothing but lies, as any sensible person knows. The very real and very clear evidence is at the above site, with links to hundreds of organizations around the world with very real evidence of GW.

Who told you that and why do you believe them?

That is, the response to the arguments made by deniers that, really, don't know what they are talking about. And there are plenty like that on all sides.

But one of the sneaky attributes of a site like this, on either side, is to not address the arguments from the other side where they really have no argument. And to be clear, some of the arguments listed on the site are rock solid and I, as a denier, actually agree with them. But they don't really address the issue. e.g. I, as a denier, strongly believe the climate is changing, much as I believe the air pressure in a living, breathing human lung is constantly changing. So?

But these touch on the issue at hand from the "denier" perspective and are rock solid. Call them fake at your peril:

Climate scientists say that manmade global warming is real and that the effects can be devastating.
Republicans say that it’s not and present all sorts of spurious “reason”.
Who to believe, scientists or right-wing talking points.
That one is easy.
And posting a bunch of articles by propagandists proves nothing in a discussion arena such as this. Present this “rock solid” arguments one at a time and we can discuss them.

Yes, all these bullshit sites this Insane racist moron posts are funded by Big Energy. This clown claims to be currently working for Big Energy, though he's also made a lot of other claims about being a salesman, and involved in computer science, etc. Meanwhile, he spends his (supposedly working) days posting here and likely other political sites. Sounds like a VERY unreliable sort to me. He wouldn't have lasted a week at MegaCorp.

Just one example:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Center..._Global_Change

Quote:
The Center for the Study of Carbon Dioxide and Global Change is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Tempe, Arizona.[1] It is seen as a front group for the fossil fuel industry.

According to IRS records, the ExxonMobil Foundation provided a grant of $15,000 to the center in 2000. Another report states that ExxonMobil has funded an additional $55,000 to the center.

The center was also funded by Peabody Energy, America’s biggest coalmining company.
Just put the clown on Ignore. He isn't worth the energy.

Some do. Some don't.

Question authority. The information is out there. Use the links people here are providing and make up your own mind.

HAHAHAHA! Define "propagandist". And I believe in trusting SCIENCE, not biased "scientists", or right and left wing talking points. You should try it.
