They use all the freedom and rights of a democracy (free speech and so on) to push through all those anti democratic facist characteristics that are typical for Germany 1933-1945: Intolerance > xenophobia/antisemitism/racism, bigotry, megalomania etc.

Now it is the purpose to fight against those sick subjects with democratic means. I hope so much that the rational political America will succeed....
The hard right wing base that makes up the Tea Party will remain hard right. However, those that care, feed and acquiesce to their demands will tire of their antics and pull the pull on their support. I'm hoping this happens sooner rather than later.

HK I have found the tea partiers to be genuinely concerned, even if I don't agree with them on every issue. They are organized and go door to door on their own time.

Our debt levels are getting huge, and the left says it doesn't matter. What I've seen from Europe, it does.

Then why did Dubya run them up so high through his 2 wars, Medicare Part D, and deliberately incompetent oversight of securities markets? If you actually believe that the GOP is fiscally responsible, I have a couple of bridges to sell to you. They're completely happy with deficit spending as long as it goes to their constituents/patrons.

I can't wait to tell my tea party neighbor that they are brownshirts.

Of course the left would never disparage someone for political reasons.

Finn the tea party is the only group doing anything regarding the debt, and look at the wailing!

Or do we need a little man with big ears and graphs?

And, tea party folks would never dream of disparaging anyone on the left?

I haven't compared the left to brownshirts but I'm sure I could find some who do. Commie is about as far as I go and usually in jest

Even with the best intentions, do you negotiate or wait till the last minute and then blackmail? All bluster and no clue. Isn't that the criticism levied at the OWS movement?

This is like the middle east, now that they have democracy they have no idea how to go about it and make it work. So instead of figuring out what to do, it's murder and mayhem.

I see no difference with the TP. They have no idea how to govern the country so guess what? Shut the government down regardless the cost to the country. When you wreck the economy tax revenue goes down the tubes first and you cannot get it back.

I agree the TP guys aren't Brownshirts. If the TP recruits White Nationalist thug types for a paramilitary presence on the streets, THEN we'll be seeing 'Brownshirts.'

The TP guys in Congress DO resemble in attitude and scruples the Nazi minority in early days in the Reichstag.

By repeatedly passing a law with a majority?
