Dave
That is curious since most of you guys' whole MO is what the government can take from somebody else and give to you.

You didn't answer the question.

What could I possibly want or need from you?

The business of government is to take in money by taxes and spend it for the public benefit. It has always been thus and is codified in the Constitution. The rub is that people always want to bitch about themselves getting too little of the pie and people other than themselves getting too much. It was always been thus. Simple really.

I said people like you.

I may have spoken out of turn since the first post from you was the typical smart ass no substance post typical of the loser contingent that dominates this place.

In a nut shell their whole philosophy of life is about how they deserve so much more. And, since they don't have what it takes to be successful in the easiest country to be successful in there has ever been they want the government to transfer it to them.

I doubt you are a person anybody is going to hear from because you want to do something for them.

I actually agree with that. But, it has gotten to the point that anybody who is reasonably successful pays in excess of 50% in some kind of tax.

So, you would like to think that the people who aren't paying are making an effort.

Despite what the la la land bunch on here seem to think that is often not the case.
