Yet another stunt from this MAGAMoron.
Yet another unconstitutional stunt by Abbott trying to keep up with the MAGA stupidity from DeSantis. It's quite clear that states have no role in immigration policy and enforcement. To the extent, they ever try to actually implement this, it'll be challenged in court and tossed.

Guy Reffitt, Texas man who brought gun to Capitol on Jan. 6, sentenced to 87 months in prison

Doh! Dumbass. Let us hope the Orange ringmaster and his enablers will do at least as much time as this dude.

Damaging Alex Jones texts mistakenly sent to Sandy Hook family’s lawyers
Stunning revelation contradicts claims Jones had nothing on his phone pertaining to deadly 2012 shooting he long called a hoax

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...famation-trial

Doh! Will be really nice to see this buffoon penniless. He belongs behind bars, of course, for his actions. Maybe, one day...

Watching the vid clip of when the prosecutor tell Jones that they have every text message he's sent from the last two years, the look on Jones's face is priceless. I'd have loved to be a fly on the wall in the room with Jones and his attorney after court adjourned yesterday. The even brighter news is that the Jan 6 committee is interested in some of his text messages.

The interesting thing about this is that Texas laws allowed 10 days for Jones' attorney to "claw back" any evidence mistakenly furnished to the other side. However, they really couldn't use this provision because Jones had already denied to the court that such evidence existed (and this denial was the reason for the default judgement against him).

Beyond the ability to now use this evidence against him in the current trial, the existence of this information now enables perjury and/or contempt charges against Jones (and perhaps his attorney) for denying the existence of this evidence. LOL.

I would argue the Lawyer’s once the request was made for any and all documents phone computer. That legally they must.
Not telling the POS may be due to the legal ramifications the lawyers felt if helping this POS commit perjury. Seeing that was already happening.

IOW, the real lesson here isn’t “don’t accidentally turn over stuff you hid from discovery.” It’s “don’t hide stuff from discovery.” Jones is fucked. Thankfully.

That said, Jones took the 5th more than 100 times when he testified in front of the January 6 Cmte. Imagines what's in his text messages, which are likely to land in the hands of committee investigators & DOJ. I bet Roger Stone (and others) are sweating bullets.

You would have to be an idiot to trust Alex Jones with dangerous information. I can think of a number of the Trump inner circle that qualify, including of course the guy at the center.
