This thing is an absolute joke. I'm sure whatever paint the MIC chooses for this gluttonous money pig will run us at least $15,000 of each 1 quart can and require brushes made from the tail hair of adolescent Siberian mink and diamond encrusted Andean Cocobolo.

Apparently, Ashton Carter, Defense Secretary designee, has spoken out about the waste, malfeasance and lack of need in the F-35 program.

Carter will change his stripes on the F-35. The MIC is bigger and stronger than any SecDef.

Yep, the level of dysfunction and waste in DoD (and the complicity of Congress in the mess) outstrips any other source of waste in government. Easily. Per the linked piece, "the total budget overruns for current weapons systems stands at nearly $500 billion." Yet, any efforts to fix this mess is labelled "gutting our military."
