One for curiousity the other for research.
Is he the physician who suffered the near death experience? I heard him interviewed on NPR.

That is he, I saw the interview and a comment by the author of "Life after Life" that his "... near-death experience is the most astounding I have heard in more than four decades of studying this phenomena."

The strange part is that prior to his own experience Dr. Alexander had believed that NDEs were merly hallucinations produced by brains under extreme stress.

The Prophet by Khalil Gibran for the second time, separated by almost forty years. I wonder how many teaparty types would read it? Nah, they would probably just burn it.

My wife Florencia Delfina Cavazos, descendant of both Capitain Juan Cavazos del Campo and Jose Narciso Cavazos the rightful owner of what is now the King Ranch. That carpetbagger King stole it during James Polk's Manifest Destiny land grab.

More than my sweetheart, she is my life.

You are indeed blessed, Rob. Pass on to her Patty's and my regards, my friend.
My older brother has found some amazing family history at Ancestry.com. Good luck with your search.

Recently contacted her cousin, well mine also through marriage, and she has traced the family back to Spain and Italy, since Capitain Juan Cavazos was an Italian married to a Spanish lady. We just discovered a portait in oils that was done when she (Florence) was twenty and are waiting for the frame to be made. We also found the certificate she was given for her first solo flight. There were only three women flying there in Japan at the time, Florence, her instructor's wife and a young Japanese girl, so the certificate says "on his first", they did not have a "her" version. She soloed after only eight hours of instruction.

I should read that again. I read it a bit over 30 years ago myself, at the ripe old age of 15.

At the moment just reading a few week old blog from the New Yorker that a few of you may appreciate.

I'll have to remember your previous admonition that, just because you find something funny, doesn't mean that you agree with it.

That was some funny stuff.
