Couldn't happen to a nicer guy
OK here we go a month before Israeli elections, a new scandal for the Netanyahu's to deal with and answer. Probably nothing very serious but the timing has to hurt. Good to see the two faced hypocrite squirm and hoping the American media is all over him on this during his visit. Iran, what Iran? Or maybe he will be dis-invited.
Israel’s Netanyahu spent $24,000 on takeout, and it’s causing a scandal
Quote:
In his front-page commentary Tuesday in the Israeli daily newspaper Maariv, columnist Ben Caspit got the national mood just right when he admitted, “It is embarrassing even to write about this. But it can’t be helped, this is what there is, and it’s ours.”

Some politicians just cannot resist that shit.
Our locals in NY:
One took for his own use 4 houses/apartments built specifically to be given the poor.
Another gave employment to his entire family in non profit organization.
Another had a developer built her home for free in return for helping him get public lands.
The latest Sheldon Sliver - took millions in bribes for providing services which
were facilitated by his powerful position as speaker.
Back to Bibi. The amount for takeout is inconceivable.

Considering he and his wife have a cook on staff, they should be buying their own take out.

From what I've read in Israeli papers, Bibi's wife is under heavy criticism for pocketing ~$1,000 from the refunds on drink bottle deposits. The criticism seems petty, but the idea of a First Lady embezzling bottle deposit refunds is indeed pretty feckin' strange. That's even beneath the dignity of an Illinois Governor.

That's a low blow.

And Rodney got 14 years for peddling a Senate seat.
Our governors were small time crooks. Our secretaries of state knew how to pocket some real cash.

Our Gov. Cuomo installed an anti corruption panel and when he realized that the panel took its work seriously and was hitting too close to home he had it
disbanded.
