I served under 8 commanders in chief. Trump doesn’t grasp the role.

By Wesley K. Clark
Retired Gen. Wesley K. Clark is a former NATO supreme allied commander. He is a Centennial Fellow at Georgetown and a senior fellow at the UCLA Burkle Center for International Relations.

In other words, Donny's an incompetent buffoon.

softly softly, written for an audience that dislikes the usual partisan attacks on the President....

Indeed, anyone that studied his resume' shouldn't be suprized, and the jury knows the verdict is guilt by narcissistic incompetence without having to recess.

Actually, the audience I was thinking of was Clark's fellows in the career military, who are often disposed to like a strong conservative leader. Clark was giving them chapter and verse on how Trump doesn't make the grade, leader-wise.

The Associated Press factchecks Trumplestiltskin on vacation. The verdict - 'Pants On Fire'. How anyone believes this dude anymore is a puzzle. Gullible suckers, I guess.

Putin is a fascist who is following the precepts of a dead 20th century Russian named Ilyn.
Trump is Putin's lapdog who is following the same model when he attacks American institutions.

Putin is using the myth of the wise nation in an effort to destroy the EU. Trump is his beachhead into America in the same effort.

Vow !
Putin is responsible for the Rust Belt, the steep decline of the white working class, the economic rise of China.

Putin is responsible for the massive bust in 2008, the gig economy, our 20 trillion dollar debt, pile up of student debt, car loan debt.

Putin is marginal, and a distraction.

He is trying to destroy the EU by weakening European states who are part of it because Russia cannot join since to be a member of the EU a nation has to be a democracy. Putin is against integration and a strong European economy because it makes his kleptocracy a naked example of Russian backwardness.

That is why he invaded the Ukraine because they wanted to join the EU.
Why he supported Le Pen in France and Farrage in the UK: they were against the EU. He supported Scottish separation in the UK and Brexit with internet bot campaigns designed to influence British opinion just like he did in our election in 2016. The RT network is basically Putin's effort to denigrate western European integration and a strong EU economy by televising the anti-EU message to countries in Western Europe.

People who supported Trump are afraid of an false external immigration problem that doesn't exist. While Trump has distracted his base with racism he has made our kids and grandkids less wealthy by giving a huge tax break to his fellow billionaires that they will have to somehow pay for. The base is getting duped but everyone is going to pay for it.

The EU is weakened by
1) the Euro.
How a Common Currency Threatens The Future of Europe
Nobel Laureate, Joseph Stiglitz

2)Germany hardline towards weaker states e.g. Greece.

3)The reaction to mass migration to it's urban centers from third world countries. A migration as a result of reverse colonization and or open invitation.

Now Poland has become a major headache for the EU. It does not want to receive any of the migrant/refugees.
Poland is supported by several other eastern Eropean countries in this regard.
Furthermore Poland is bitter:It has lost so many of its young to emigration and now sees the commanding heights of its economy owned by the Germans, Dutch and French.

As to Brexit: Largely due to the massive influx of Poles and Lithuanians into England and Wales within a short span of time. Working class English and Welsh saw their wages suppressed, their jobs advertised abroad and scarce benefits like housing going to foreigners. And looking down the pike, they saw Romainians, Bulgarians and Ukrainians.
