North Carolina Loses NBA All Star Game

Looks like the NBA is taking the All Star game to New Orleans due to misguided anti-LGBT HB-2 law.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...mepage%2Fstory

Kudos to the NBA for standing tall for equal rights, pun intended.

The Panthers should move down the road to Greenville-Spartanburg. Maybe BMW could underwrite the stadium.

I no longer use my supplier in Asheville, who wants to do business with the hate state?

Still fond memories of Dennis Rodman in the NBA, apparently.

There's Trump's foreign affairs secretary nominee, and just as cluelessly ignorant.

Great news and there may be other NCAA teams under pressure not to play in North Carolina. NBA can and will be very influential and most owners are liberals.

I'd way rather go to New Orleans for the game than Charlotte. No comparison. It's a win-win, the NBA telling North Carolina to emerge from the Stone Age while moving the game to a much funner city.

Isn't Charlotte sort of like a genteel New Orleans without the muggers?

Nope. You're thinking Charleston, SC. Charlotte is much less interesting, more of a regional banking hub with far less character and history.
