Smile Audio Scores

Got a Sansui 5000X and 5000A (parts unit) a 15 inch ctec Gauss driver, A Nikko 5055 receiver, a Jensen Sigma driver a couple of smaller 50 or 60s Jensen drivers, and an 80 watt per channel or so Hitachi integrated amp with a cut cord from a CL transaction for 100 bucks, no complaints. The Sansui had the cord cut off but once I attached a new cord all the lights and meters worked and controls were even almost static free. I like the 5000X quite a bit. How do I tell if I have the one with the troublesome output board, and if that's the case will the one from the 5000a work in a 5000X?

Any other new audio scores during the outage?

Well you got a nice score! I'm sorry I don't know about your problem with your Sansui.

But, for audio scores, I got a Marantz 2230b a few weeks ago and let me say its great! My first marantz!

I stupidly bought this Philips receiver for 50 cents at the Soundwell gear dump-off garage sale 2 weeks ago because it was 50 cents and it was functional. Stupid, stupid, stupid. May as well not work for all the use it will get from me.

Hit the local thrifts this past week and here's what I picked up -

A Sansui T-7 Auto Search Tuner for $7.00, a Technics RS-TR232 HX-Pro dual deck for $6.95 and a Sony CDP-C265 5 CD changer for $19.00.

Mike
