More than $7 million has already been spent by super PACs and other outside groups to directly support or oppose a candidate. Almost $1.8 million has gone to oppose Clinton, paying for telephone calls and attack ads.

Of all the money spent by SuperPACs so far, about 1/4 of it was spent trashing Hillary Clinton. Is it any wonder that her numbers are slipping?

It wouldn't have worked if she'd have gotten ahead of it, which in itself doesn't do her any favors. The damage is effectively self inflicted and speaks poorly of her qualification to be the chief executive. The two greatest powers an executive has is to appoint informed unbiased advisors and delegate effective authority, neither of which is in evidence here.

The whiffed up email scandal took a hit on Weds.

"The Obama administration told a federal court Wednesday that former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was within her legal rights to use of her own email account, to take the messages with her when she left office and to be the one deciding which of those messages are government records that should be returned."
