What is suspicious about a kid walking HOME from a store after BUYING candy and soda?

Nothing.

This is part of the problem. People are trying to justify that being black and wearing a hoodie makes one suspicious.

From what I understand, Martin was a "kid" who stood well over 6' tall and was "walking" home by moving between people's homes and through their backyards...in a suspicious manner. In an area which was suffering from burglaries, not to mention in a high crime area to start with.

I'm not so sure that your portrayal of what actually happened, other than the candy and the soda pop, is accurate.

I will admit, a black in a hoodie is suspicious. Not because of racism, but because blacks commit a disproportionate amount of crime.

I'm simply stating the obvious. And by the way, if I see some skinhead who looks like the tattooed freak in the sideshow, I keep an eye on him as well. Because they commit a disproportionate amount of crime as well.

Yep, I still see manslaughter, but obviously they still may be more.

I still see him as the aggressor, chasing someone down and when confronting the kid bit off more then he could chew. If this goes away then any armed person can pick fights with anyone unarmed without fear of the laws.

Yes plus if this goes away a justified backlash can be expected.

Not good.

If there is a backlash, it should be directed at the prosecuter for being an overzealous idiot.

'Stalking', 'chasing someone down', hmmm... sounds like preconceived notions, my take.

Depends on which one you are. Looking at it from Travon side I see a boy walking home at night alone and a man following him in the dark. We will never know if there was any communication between the two. Because it will only be one sided now due to the loss of one party.

Indeed that is a big part of the problem. Many people are identifying with Zimmerman and not bothering to look at this from Trayvon's vantage point.

The kid went out to get candy.

I have a problem with rioting being justified. King would be saddened by the whole sordid affair.
