Is that beast tubed, Rob? Years ago, I acquired an older tubed Lafayette integrated that had pretty much been destroyed in a garage fire. I stripped it for whatever parts I could salvage. Amazingly, all of the tubes were still good and most were premium tubes that I sold for fat cash on ebay. Smoked glass Mullard 6BQ5s, black plate RCA 7025s (kept those) and Telefunken EZ80s.
In retrospect, I should have kept the Mullards and sold those RCAs. They would have been glorious in my Maggie 9302. But, I got $220 for the quad..................used.

This receiver is from the early seventies, beyond the tube age. I like this receiver, and even more if the enclosure would have wood veneer instead of vinyl veneer.
Lafayette gear is difficult to find in Germany.

And this guy used to work on F-14's?
No wonder they took 'em out of service.

Definitely no Sturmstaffel (SS) receiver!
My mind refered for decades just to the top killer section of the Führer when I encountered the abbreviation SS...that changed when I started to join AudioKarma.
