Alabama Town to Ban Saggy Pants and Short-Shorts

The American Taliban.

Quote:
A small Alabama town is about to turn their cops into fashion police by passing an ordinance banning saggy pants and too-short shorts that expose too much butt to city residents.

“We have people walking down the street with their hand in front of them holding up their pants,” Dadeville City Councilman Frank Goodman said. “Then they have the nerve to walk into a place of business and ask for a job. If you come to my house you are going to pull them up before you get on my property, much less in my door. I prayed about this. I know that God would not go around with pants down.” Dubbed the “Saggy Pants Ordinance,” city council member Stephanie Kelley opted to include women who wear too short dresses or booty shorts.

One would think if God cared he would have created the body different.

I don't see how a town can legally enforce a dress code.

I don't either.

I don't even think the five right wing fanatics on the Supreme Court would vote to uphold this shit.

It's painfully obvious that this ordinance is aimed at young black dudes.

Then they threw in the Daisy Duke's ban to try to camouflage it.

I'm not so sure about that. I see just as many "white dudes", "Hispanic dudes", and " Asian dudes" who wear saggy pants.

Besides.... Once those children realize where and why the saggy pant thing started.... They lose interest in the fashion statement.

You call it 'indecent exposure.'

It was a gangsta thug fashion statement referring to the confiscation of belts when jailed, also known as "jailin' ", that for some reason went urban mainstream.
