This "news release" is bullshit...it is the same story Wilson has told from day one. Wilson and the Saint Louis criminal justice system is just softening up the public for when they let Wilson off the hook for a homicide, perceived or not. Perhaps Wilson will not even have to fill out a post-shooting incident report. I have a feeling however he won't be in any patrol car for awhile, if ever.
See...with you guys there's no need for a hearing or a trial or anything. And you look askance at the Chinese. When I suspect you would be all for dealing with this in the same way they handle this sort of thing in China. Anybody who upsets the governmental apple cart in China gets the same outcome. Taken out behind the barn and shot in the head. No hearing, no trial, no appeal, no nothing.

So here's what we got right here on PC.org. We got an opinion and any action taken should be taken on our opinion. So much for due process...eh ice? I know...I know...Michael didn't get no due process. Yep. So maybe a little opinion driven tit for tat should be the new due process then.

I'd be happy as a pig in shit if it goes to trial.

I doubt it will.

I would posit that Wilson's style of policing is probably not too far off from the Chinese model.

Perhaps.

I just try to avoid too much pissing and moaning about how the fix is in until the outcome indicates that the fix was in.

Of course, then we get the outcome we hate. And then we'll have another 12 page thread fulla conjecture about how the fix was in. And so it goes.

How do you shoot someone in the crown of the head, have it exit his chin and penetrate his chest unless you're still shooting as he goes down or he's already on the pavement?

I don't know for sure, I wasn't there, but that sure doesn't look right.

The way it looks to me is that he was executed.

Might one not say that politics is a symptom of aphasia?

I am very suspicious about the circumstances of the final shooting that killed Wilson, and I've explicitly called for a trial. I have doubts about the ability of the grand jury process to provide adequate assurance of justice, in this case, if there is no indictment. But I explicitly said I'll be satisfied if there is a trial, whatever the outcome.

Can you point to a post on this board where anyone has called for Brown to be punished without a trial? I think not.
