Of course, a mini-series format provides plenty of opportunity for such development. Dame Maggie Smith is amazing in her role.

Anyway, so much for having any street cred here.

Rented Clint Eastwood's Trouble with the Curve. It was fun, but very unreal. The characters were caricatures, and everything got wrapped all too nicely. Gotta admit that it was kind of warped to see Justin Timberlake and Clint Eastwood as buddies.

Speaking of unreal. I had picked up a tape of Wild Wild West at a flea market. It was extremely stupid, but I enjoy Kevin Kline, and Selma Hayek was enough to stick it through until the end.

Thanks for the heads up. Japanese samurai films, history always interest me.

Just last night I was watching a presentation on the Military Channel on the establishment of the 250 years of Shogunate rule. A fascinating look into the mores of a people.

I also just watched Trouble with the Curve. Not as good as El Torino, by a long shot, but Clint is still a far better actor than Timberlake will ever be.

I rarely watch anything but movies. T.V. has lost it's appeal to me. And the "news" is a joke unless it's local.
