You're right, it's Nevada. So, how do you feel about closing the gun show loophole?

We have a notorious and very active black market arms supply pipeline down here feeding the Northeast thru the loopholes that needs to be shut down.

Don't view it as a loophole.

It's a free market right?

Wonder what the punishment would be if I had a concealed unregistered loaded handgun in California. Or the requisite amount of Mary Jane to be considered illegal.

The handgun would be taken you would be charged a mistimeaner that carries a small fine.

The weed they might take for their own use and tell you to get lost.

Same here in Iowa as some other states:
New laws have sheriffs handing out licenses like candy - actually, they can't deny anymore without some serious documentation. Meaning, in the past, it was up to their discretion, if they knew the guy was a known hot-head, they could deny. Not anymore.

Gun shows - I've seen several types of guns (never semi-A's) sold at gun shows by private individuals, these type of sales require zero background check. ZERO. NONE.

It really came home to me the time, about a year ago, I'm in the "5th Street Pub" here in Des Moines, and a revolver falls out of an old guy's pocket, and lands on the floor, hitting the bar stool hardware on the way down. IMO, that's just fucking nuts.

I will wait for a qualified answer.
Edit: I looked it up. Carrying a concealed weapon (1st offense) is the same as carrying over an ounce of marijuana, both misdemeanors in general terms.

I'm qualified as I had that exact charge that's why I know. Second offence would be a fellony.

We have no loopholes at gun shows in Cal, hell there isn't any gun at the shows here now.

Back in the day they had palets full of old military surplus, SKS stacked 10' tall, crates of ammo.

You got flippant with the marijuana answer so you disqualified yourself. I was comparing the charges/punishment between the two here in CA.
