Interesting today, 3 out of 6 were clean - a very unusually high number.

So we've either got some new buds or we're about to get spammed, or both

Pete

On occasion of and refering to the latest spam avalanche I would like to ask this: What generally is the deeper "sense" of spam? I mean - how does the enormous quantitiy of brainless Blabla in these four posts make sense to the poster?

And that is about all you can tell from an IP address since they have yet to implement IPv6.

I suspect the tactic is designed to trigger a 'WTF' response in the brain which leads to clicking on the hyperlink. A very risky maneuver. Don't do it.

The verbiage is also designed to get them past spam filters by not being too brief or too limited in vocabulary.

It's not expected that anyone will read or be influenced by the text. It's just a vehicle to get the links in front of people. Any link, if presented to millions of eyeballs, will be clicked on by some of them. Then their selling site or their malware gets to do it's job. As long as the individual presentation costs next to nothing, there's money in it.

The links in this case are the ????????.??? things. So mysterious! Is your curiosity not aroused? Don't you want to click just to scratch that itch?

DANGER! Don't do it! These are links provided by people who cracked this site's security, keep in mind.

I'll go along with 'a hostile environment for right-wing trolls.' But you might want to substantiate the more general statement you made....

By the way, why you searching back to February 2013 to find a post to answer with a comment like that?

Awwww, "a hostile environment"? Boo hoo .
It's a political forum and a relatively tame one at that, imo.
