If anyone ever figures out Herberts "The Jesus Incident" let me in on it.

"....oh, all of them, most of them, whatever is there is front of me at the moment...".

The "Inverse Fish Story Principle"---The longer you talk about it, the smaller it gets. "It was 23 inches, just over a foot really, well I thought six inches until I realized I was using a metric scale.....Gee, is a centimeter smaller than an inch?"

Holy Cow......

Midnight Rising: John Brown and the Raid That Sparked the Civil War by Tony Horwitz.

Horwitz is one of my favorite writers (Confederates in the Attic, Blue Horizons, A Voyage Long and Strange, Baghdad without a Map), but this book takes a wholly different approach than his previous efforts. Just starting it now.
