Nope I even buy old America made off eBay if there is no other choice. Same with old America companies if they manufacture there I'll try to look elsewhere.

It's even worse, I read in the late 80s early 90s somewhere that over 50% of Chinese production was military owned. So we are paying for our rivals' military.

China is now progressing into the new age with a growing middle class. The low pay workers of yesterday are now demanding higher salaries so they can live the western lifestyle. Those higher salaries will price them out of the "slave labor" market. That manufacturing market is currently moving to Thailand and Viet Nam.

Neither do I. All the furniture in my home is American made. Pretty expensive and hand made, but it's good quality stuff I'll never have to buy again.

Electronics though, hard to get around that one.

All my cow meat is domestic too.

Our new Bay Bridge sections was made in China and shipped here. Our tax money employing Chinese workers. Besides it was way way over budget and late.

Now the DDDan is going to claim that he does not drive over the Bay Bridge.

I totally concur. There is no free trade unless there is free exchange of currency and subsidies.

Way back when, I bought a tube buffered DAC (identical/similar to GF Dac 09). Paid $150 for it shipped and had not realized that it came directly from China. Free shipping and $0 duty. It had an issue with probably a cracked joint and I made them take it back and pay me for return shipping. Paid $39 for shipping which they reimbursed.

That was the last time I bought any Chinese made audio gear. I now buy mostly Canadian.
Of course, any thing electric, electronic or computer related, very difficult to avoid Chinese goods. Irritates the hell out of me, especially the iPhone, iPod, iPad..............

Electronics though, hard to get around that one.

All my cow meat is domestic too.< I have a store that carries Harris Ranch and that even helps California.
Exactly! I will pop for one pair of Klein Pliers $30.00 over a 20 piece set of chines for $19.00

Stereo thats easy, McIntosh, SOTA, JBL, And of corse vintage Japanese. I do have Samsun TVs hard to beat the picture quality.
