Death Penalty in Oklahoma
Instead of a lethal injection authorities consider the use of nitrogen. Could that be the most "human" procedure? I think so, if the procedure works without slip-ups.
What is your opinion on this topic?
Today there is or was another execution with a lethal injection in this state.

I suppose anything that can't be screwed up is way better than the often inhumane systems we use now. Although as I type this I can't believe I'm using a concept like "humane" in a discussion about preferred methods of thinning the herd of undesirables.
So I'm generally an opponent of the death penalty. But every now and then, I want revenge. There was this case here in Chicago where some sick pig murdered a little girl by jamming her face down into a mud puddle. To this day, I would be a volunteer to carry out the same death penalty for this guy. On your knees motherfucker, prepare to experience how it feels. I usually have this reaction to murderers of children and torturers of innocent cats and other beasts. Want somebody to end these scumbags? Text me.

So you and I are in a sort of dilemma, a psychological double mill. I'm also an opponent of the death penalty. And I also remember cases I could kill a sick pig in a most possible cruel manner. A priest several years ago had anal intercourse with an eight years old boy. After that he killed him.
But once somebody is sentenced to death by the law of a state, I wish there would be a method which excludes (unintended) cruelty as far as possible.

I would concur. Problem is, here in the good 'ol US of A, in our legal system as it has evolved since the founding, any actual justice that is doled out is, more often than not, pretty much accidental.

I want to make damned sure no innocent dudes get railroaded into being executed, which I'm sure has happened on numerous occasions especially with dark skinned males.
On the other hand, when you have a heinous criminal dead to rights, I say get Medieval on his ass.

So, capital punishment for animal cruelty and you in the black hood. Interesting.
Tell me, how do you feel about the people in the livestock, poultry and fowl industries? A "clean death" too good for them too?

Ya mean a "clean death" for the slaughter house guys? I dunno, I've never given much thought to that. I'm finding myself less and less interested in eating pig as I get older. They're pretty smart critters. I suppose I think the slaughter houses oughta be utilizing at least as humane practices as we do with our murderers...don't you? The beasts are certainly considerably more noble than we are. I suppose I could rightly suggest the beasts have considerably more integrity than we do as well.
To be honest...if I had to slaughter and dress my own meat, I'd be a vegetarian.
You have probably noticed that I'm a pretty emotional guy. That I appear logical, or argue from a logical perspective is not a quality I concern myself with all that much.
